Event Description Dr. Gregory Dixon will present What Kind of Nation? How Each Generation Engages the Constitution, in celebration of Constitution Day. Dr. Dixon will provide a history lesson in how each generation of Americans has engaged in a reinterpretation of the Constitution through popular movements and initiatives. He will focus on the affect that Women's Suffrage, the Progressive Movement, the New Deal, and the Civil Rights Movement have had on the meaning of the words that in 1787 created the United State's Government. |
