Valerie Zimany: Porcelain Fever art exhibition (Multi-Day Event)

The Bobick Gallery (Humanities first floor) presents a ceramic exhibition featuring work by South Carolina artist Valerie Zimany. Zimany's work was developed in conjunction with creative research focused on Japanese ceramics and decorative arts. As an artist formally trained in Japan, Zimany's work appropriates traditional practice to bring to light its ability to reexamine modern presumptions of culture, identity, and history – and reinterpret them into works of original, idiosyncratic expression. Artist Talk on April 3 at 5pm in Hum203. Gallery reception to follow.

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion annual sock drive is now underway. This year's  theme is “Safe Today, Healthy Tomorrow”. Our goal is to collect 500 pairs of socks for distribution  to local nursing homes in Carroll and Haralson County during the month of May (Older Americans Month). Co-sponsors: Student Government Association (SGA), Pan Hellenic Council, National Pan Hellenic Council, Inter fraternity Council, and the Black Student Alliance (BSA).
