Due to a major electrical upgrade, the Boyd Data Center will be shut down starting Saturday, March 17 at 8:00 p.m. This shutdown will have a wide sweeping impact on the campus. As a result, all campus IT resources will be unavailable during the power outage.
This includes:
- Network access
- Telephone service
- E-mail
- Banner
This will also impact onsite services such as:
- Network file access
- Network printing
- Wireless
- Access to campus computer labs
- On campus access to CourseDen
We estimate a restoration of power to the Data Center by 1:00 a.m. Sunday. At this point we will begin restoring top priority services including network access, telephone service, and email. We anticipate all services will be restored by 11:00 a.m. Sunday.
